About Britt Lounge & Cafe

Britt Lounge & Cafe sits on 7301 US-53, Britt, MN 55710, a cozy roadside spot that manages to balance hometown comfort with a menu that surprises. A recent visit by a local reviewer revealed a relaxed dining room, neon signs, and a jukebox that adds character without stealing the conversation. Seats at the bar provide a front-row view of meal prep, while booths keep things comfortable for a lingering coffee and slice of pie.

The menu leans on comforting classics with occasional twists. Breakfast choices arrive all day, including fluffy pancakes, omelets loaded with vegetables and cheese, and skilfully seasoned skillets. Lunch and dinner offer juicy burgers, stacked sandwiches, and a handful of daily specials that rotate with the seasons. Homemade soups and salads behave like dependable friends on the plate, while desserts—especially the house pie—tend to gather compliments from nearby tables. A modest drink selection includes draft and bottled beers, simple cocktails, and reliably strong coffee that pairs well with morning traffic or an afternoon pick-me-up.

Location makes this place convenient for highway travelers and locals alike. The address on US-53 places the restaurant within easy reach of nearby landmarks and a short detour for anyone passing through Britt. Ample parking removes one small stress from the dining equation, and open hours geared toward early birds and evening crowds help capture different moods throughout the day.

Reviews around town and online skew positive, with many mentions of friendly service and generous portions. A handful of comments note busy nights and slightly longer waits when the dining room fills, but most voices return to praise for the food and welcoming atmosphere. Regulars appear to appreciate the consistency, and newcomers often leave planning a return visit.

Overall impressions favor a low-key, dependable spot that refuses to be flashy and succeeds by doing familiar things well. Expectations for fine dining would be misplaced, but a craving for hearty comfort food, a decent coffee, and a warm neighborhood vibe will likely be satisfied. For a casual meal in Britt, a stop at this address delivers a genuine slice of local life and a solid plate to match.

We came across this place while on the trails in the Superior National Forest on our four wheeler. It is an amazing place with delicious food in the middle of nowhere! We’ve had homemade deep fried wontons fried in bacon duck fat! OMG 🙃. In addition, we had pork belly burnt ends on a bed of crispy onion rings. W.O.W. lastly, although regular flavored buffalo wings may sound boring, these were anything but! Besides being double-dipped and fried crispy on the outside yet juicy on the inside, they have black pepper in their hot sauce that gave an extra kick… In addition, even the blue cheese was special because it was a homemade garlic blue cheese dipping sauce. I would drive to here or four-wheel to here anytime… not too far from Virginia, MN

Our group of 7 came in for an early dinner on a Wednesday. Our waitress really hustled between the bar and tables. I enjoyed the prime rib dip with their homemade chips. Others at the table enjoyed their meals as well. I am sure we will be back.

Nice lil hideway bar off of 169 tucked away in the woods off the snowmobile trail. They have high octane fuel for your high performance machines. Once your inside its warm a cozy with a nice atmosphere. The food is amazing. My favorite dish is the Briskett Mac & Cheese with the bbq sauce. Grab some lunch It is absolutely amazing. Bartenders are the best on the range. Lots of cool novelties & support gear. Get your own Britt lounge flannel or hat to keep you warm on the trails or on the ice. Not to far down the road is some great ice fishing holes too. Follow the trails all the way out to Tavern on the bay and enjoy some dinner with great food. My favorite is the grilled chkn bacon ranch wrap with season fries. There are plenty of games & pull tabs to keep you busy. Enjoy the game on large screeen tvs or sit by the warm cozy fireplace & watch the sunset over the lake. Catch the Northern lights during G5 solar storms. Hit the trails & continue your journey around Lake Vermillion.
